Who We Are

Founder: Guillermo Echanique Wynn

Since 1990, Guillermo Echanique Wynn, the Ecuadorean-American founder of Chimbarazu Press, has produced poetry, fiction, satire, and mixed-media micro-publications such as chapbooks, broadsides, and small magazines. He also wrote and produced a critically-acclaimed secular oratorio, Synchronicity.  He formed Chimbarazu Press in order to consolidate his publishing endeavors and to publish contemporary poetry and prose. The press launched its first full-length title, Tell No One: Poems of Witness by Marguerite María Rivas in 2012.  A second title, For Sue, by Jon Gordon was released on November 12, 2013.

We are happy to announce that we will release Donna Snyder's exceptional poetry book Poemas ante el Catafalco: Grief and Renewal  on Thursday, September 18, 2014 in El Paso, TX. More details to follow!
